Lincoln's 2 week Dr visit

Well this morning was Lincoln's 2 week check up. He weighed 9lbs and 21 in. We are so proud of him for growing so big and strong. They were impressed by his head control.
Lincoln did not enjoy the second newborn screen but it was all OK and slept for a few hours after.
So instead of going home I took Sasha and Atticus to the part for a hour while Lincoln slept in his seat.
Next Dr visit is in 2 months.

Weekend Fun

Well Friday night we went over to Jill's for Jason's Birthday. They had BBQ from Lockhart and I have to say the flavor was excellent. Luke and I will have to take a trip to have some more ! We had fun Grandparents Mike and Sherri came for the weekend with uncle Adam. Todd, Melynda and baby Evie were their. Little Lincoln did not like not being at home by bedtime 10 pm was just to late for all of us. Saturday they all brought Sasha and GEnesis to the movies and came and got Atticus tO go swimming. Later that night Grandma and Granddad came over and brought pizza and played.
Sunday was church with Jill , Grandma and Genesis and Sasha.

At the park

I checked the weather this morning at it was 75 so off we went to the park. We normaly bring the dog but I am loosing arms and its just to hard, so Genesis walked her for me.
Everyone had fun but to our disappointment no other kids were at the park. Go figure on such a nice day.
Lincoln loves being outside so he just ate then looked around. Atticus and Sasha just ran around while Genesis and I got to talk.

It seems all Atticus knows to do with his baby brother is kiss him and hold his hands. Its just to sweet.

Getting back to normal

Friday night Jill and Jason came and got Genesis to go and see Harry Potter. Saturday was relaxing day for everyone our excitement was going to the grocery store. The perfect day for us and Lincoln did wonderful he just enjoyed looking around as we shopped. Atticus just wanted to run around like always so its nice to have Daddy with me when we shop.
Sunday Jill took Genesis and Sasha to bible school and then to a book store and out for lunch. Genesis got a book and Jill got Sasha a adorable outfit. Aunt Melynda and Uncle Todd and Evelyn came by to see Lincoln for the first time. They were so sweet and brought take and bake pizza and salad for dinner. Its such a great help still not to have to cook much.
Daddy took Atticus and Sasha to a birthday party for our neighbor Jade. I stayed at home with G and Lincoln.
It finally feels like things are back to normal. Luke went back to work the day after we got home from the Hospital and the first couple days were hard for us just figuring out how to get things done but now everything just work somehow!

Keeping busy

Lincoln turned a week old Friday and he is getting big. As of his appointment Wed Lincoln's weight is almost back to his birth weight the Drs are happy that with all the light therapy he did not loose much weight,
Lincoln has settled into our family and we all love him and could not imagine our lives without him.

Home at last

This morning we got the wonderful news that Lincoln is ready to come home. No more overhead lights or biliblankets. Lincoln is sleeping so well not having those hard blankets over him and under him. Not sure how he dealt with it but hes a strong boy and just a sweet heart.
We have to go in to the Doctor in the morning to have levels tested one more time just to make sure that Lincolns levels do not go back up now that hes off the blankets and lights.
Atticus was unsure at first and still worried someone would leave him the first several hours we were home. Now he does not seem to care hes playing and not concerned whos around or not. Atticus amaze me just how sweet he is and how he just accepts whats going on around him. Sasha and Genesis are also happy were back home. Things seem normal again already.
My only worry is nap time with two little ones other than that I think we are doing great.
Its so nice to have our family back together after being apart for what seems like a long time.

Baby Lincoln Anders lathrop

Lincoln was born July 10th 2009. His weight was 8lb 3oz and he is 20 3/4 long.
He is adorable and sweet and good natured.
We are still in the hospital due to Lincoln's high bilirubin count. The did testing at day one and the levels were high so they immediately took our little guy to be put under the lights. We have been seeing improvement and as of last night we are in a room with the biliblanket lights. If the levels stay the same or go down we will go home Tuesday morning.
Everyone has been so sweet during this time. Grandma Renee came to help and Grandma and Granddad Sherri and Mike have been helping. Jason and Jill have been running my mom and kids around making sure that everyone has what they need. Atticus and Sasha even got to go to Gymboree with Evie and Melynda.
Luke and I do not know what we would of done without all this love and support we have received.
I will add photos as time goes we have them I just cant get them off.

I am so bad

Ok so life has been crazy for us lately. Between Genesis and our new baby coming and just life happening it seems we have no time.
We have been doing well and Thursday we will have our new addition. Luke and I are so excited and a little nervous one more little guy WOW we will be busy.
Everyone is helping us out and that means so much to us. Melynda will be picking my mom up from the airport, Jill and Jason are taking the kids to play and swim in the pool, Grandma and Grandad Mike and Sherri are driving from Houston to be with us and see their new grandson. Its so exciting that my mom will be able to make it this time.

What a day it will be I will try to update better or better yet get Luke to do it? Not sure how that would go but we can see.
