Poor Atticus

Well after he got better from the stomac virus he was fine for a few days then he got a cold. He has has a hard time sleeping and just wanted to be held and today he felt warm grumpy so off to the Dr we went. Yes Atticus does have a cold like I thought but he ended up getting a ear ache. Its not a bad one yet as soon as I realized he had more than just a cold off we went.

Sasha and Genesis never got sick like this! The Dr said its just because of the older kids bringing stuff home all the time. Its normal but poor Atticus the guy cant catch a break.

Sunday Pumpkin Carving

Sunday was pumpkin carving day. I almost missed posting these. Those are safety non sharp knives! Luke and Genesis have projects they are working on and Luke is teaching Genesis to solder.

Halloween time

Friday Sasha went with her friend Belle to the Gymnastics fun night.
Saturday was crazy Luke was still not feeling well this morning so we stayed around the house. In the evening Sasha's school had a Halloween party with games and contests and bounce house. Sasha's costume was a hit she won 1st place for her grade. She was so proud she kept going around telling people that she won.
After we left we went to the city of Kyle Halloween event down town to go to the haunted house. I still do understand why the school did the event at the same time as the City but Oh well. The haunted house took over a hour wait in line. Sasha played with Iron man who was a 6 year old boy. Atticus and I did not go through the haunted house so we waited to watch them come out. Sasha came out scared to death. Guess she did not like everyone jumping out at her.

Atticus Still sick

Everyone else is fine now but little guy is still sick. Yesterday was the vomiting now its just feeling miserable and a tummy ache. Hes drinking milk but he still is warm and cries.
He just wants to be held all the time and I dont blame him a bit.
I had Atticus asleep and lying down so I sent Genesis to walk the dog so I could finish Sasha's wig for Halloween. On his way out he slams the door and wakes up Atticus so now hes back asleep and in my arms.

Sick Sick

Ok Sasha got sick Tuesday night, Genesis got sick wed morning and 10 mins ago Atticus got sick. Its a stomach virus that Sasha got from the kid who sits across from her. So I am sure I am next.
Atticus is doing good he projected vomit across the floor and now he is playing. Kids are funny when they are sick.

Maker Faire

Well today we all had a blast at the Maker Faire. They had everything fun electronics crafts cars the list goes on. Genesis got blasted with the blood gun and Sasha made a necklace. She also played with body parts and was invited to come help with a haunted house in Austin next Halloween. She loves gross stuff. We even got to see the mentos and coke guys and I have to say that was so worth it. Oh and the robot wars was just to fun. We have to go next year for sure. The human size mousetrap game was so funny and cool. Atticus was a hit everyone loved him and his Misfits shirt.

Our Atticus playing ball. He loves throwing a ball or anything and chancing after it. We need to find a baby soccer ball for him to throw around.

Birthday and Shower

This morning Daddy Mommy Sasha and Atticus went to Samantha's Birthday party. It was at the bounce house party place. I did not bring the camera go figure.. Atticus had a blast playing with Daddy. I got to sit and relax and talk to Bells mom for a while.
Genesis was at the Kyle festival selling corn dogs this morning.

We got home from the party and Atticus took a nap while we got ready to go to Melynda's shower. I ended up just having to just put him in the car and going and he slept the whole way their. We had a lot of fun. Jill had everything so cute and fun. The diaper cake was beautiful and the punch was to die for. Melyndas friends were so sweet and we had a fun time. It was nice to get to see GGP again it seems like we hardly see her lately. Grandma was here from Houston and we are hoping she and grand dad will be back for Halloween.

Sarah Fun

Ok the last one I love. Sarah was sitting up leaning agenst the seat passed out from playing to hard. This I have never seen. Even when Genesis played fetch with her for over a hour! We are going back!

Dog park Austin

Well we had to run to Austin so I looked up a local dog park. It said not leash and did not say anything about not being fenced in. So we get their and the river was on one side and riverside on the other and no fence. Only having Sarah a little over 3 months it scares me that she might not come when she was called. One guy walked over with me and the stroller and the only dog on a leash and he started talking and said he had the same worries his first time with his dog. I called Luke and he said the same thing so we tried it. Sarah played fetch about 5 times then looked over at the river and took off and we followed. About 5 dogs were playing and she joined in. Atticus sat in his stroller eating pizza and watching the dogs go by and they would come over and shake and get him wet it was cute.
For Luke Sarahs new friend was a Rottweiler and twice her size she looked like a puppy. He was a therapy dog and was so sweet.

Our Yard

Some photos from our yard for Halloween. Sasha is excited this year and loves having everything decorated. Saturday is the Kyle Halloween fair Genesis will be working the corn dog stand with the scouts during the day and we will all go at night. They have a costume contest so I need to finish Sashas dress tonight!

Thursday Lunch

Sasha wanted us to have lunch on Thurs not our normal Friday so here is our update.

Sunday fun

Atticus was just to cute at Lunch. I was trying to watch a movie I had for almost a month so we ate in the living room. I waited to long to see Running with Scissors it was a really good movie.

OK I picked up Sasha from school today and it was raining. Last year both Sasha's and my umbrella became boats and were ruined so we went to the store to get a new one, Its going to rain again tomorrow and I have to park about a block away when we pick her up. We are all got wet today. Well while driving in the shopping center was the hair salon and it made me think that Sahsa was wanting to grow her hair long. So I asked her are you still going to grow your hair long? She said not I am going to get streaks in my hair. I asked her what streaks were and she said its when they paint your hair.
Thats not the worst thing!
We get out of the car and its still raining and a lady has a large vinyl reusable shopping bag over her head. Sasha was concerned and yelled over to her Do you know you have a bag over your head? The lady turns over looks at me and gets in her car. Sasha was so impressed by that idea she took our bag and put it over her head and walked to the store.

Daddy coming home

Well the we have been doing well the past few days with Luke gone. I am trying to figure out Sasha's birthday this year. She still wants Iron Man so that should be fun. The local YMCA does swim parties so we may do that. Swimming in the winter is always fun for kids. We looked into it last year I just did not think of The YMCA. Should be fun though need to make plans soon December is a hard time to get times scheduled. Atticus will have his own cake at the party!
Sasha learned about toys and how they work in the science after school program yesterday. Genesis is not happy with us right now but thats OK. Atticus is our little man always happy.
Luke found a makers fair to go to on Sunday should be fun its all day 10-6pm. We will be busy this weekend lots to do Birthdays showers and science! Fun for everyone!
Luke is home tonight we pick him up at 7:30 :)

The first is Aunt Jill holding Atticus. The second is Genesis and Sasha on the roller coaster ride. Genesis chose the scary one with a bolder chasing you and flames flying at you and Sasha got scared she got off moments later.

Fun Times

With Luke leaving Monday we wanted to do something with the kids so we went to Gatti Land. When we were driving up Sasha asked if Aunt Jill was coming and Daddy handed her the phone. Aunt Jill and Uncle Jason were on the way in no time. With Atticus feeling better he ate up a storm he loves baby corn, pizza and the brownie for desert. Games were a blast like always Luke and I took turns playing with Genesis and Jason and Jill played games and got Sasha lots of tickets. They got her a whole bunch of stuff and she loves her new Hanna Montana notebooks. I did forget to bring the camera so Luke took photos with the camera we have some cute ones and I will post them soon.
When we got home Atticus wanted to hug our old cat Meow Meow. He loves animals we just have to work on being kinder less pulling.

What was I thinking

OK so Luke had to go into work at 6am and he made in back in time to go with us to Samantha's birthday. So we head over to the place and no one is their we call Genesis and its the correct address I had the date wrong. The party is Oct 18th at 10am just outside of San Marcos and it ends at 12:00 the we have to be at Melynda's shower at 2pm. Next weekend will be a busy one to say the least.
I am starting on Sashas Sally dress it will look so cute when its done. I am not looking forward to the stitching part so far the piecing together fabric is not to hard. Keeping Atticus, Sasha and the dog off it if a chore in itself.

Friday night

Friday night we went over to Kat and Marks for dinner. Sasha and Genesis had a blast playing with Madori and Jade. They have a small blow up bounce house in their back yard so they had fun. Its sweet they are going to have a Hillbilly birthday for Kat adn Madori the first week of November should be fun.

Friday lunch with Sasha

I feel so bad about Friday. Atticus woke up and stayed up for hours Thursday night so I was so tired on Friday morning. I always have lunch with Sasha on Fridays at school but I had a feeling I would fall asleep with Atticus when he napped. I sent lunch money with Sasha and told he I might not make it. Well I did not make it and I asked what she ate for lunch on Friday and she said a chocolate milk. I asked why she did not eat she said I was waiting for you. I feel so bad!

Luke gone

We are on our own tonight. Luke had a golf thing with work today and dinner after. Its 6:10 and we have had dinner and Sasha is in the tub we will be on time tonight with bedtime no rushing! We even played Simon says and watered all the plants.

Funny and Cute

The photo of Sasha is one I just had to share. I asked her why all the stickers. Her response was they hold down my necklace and now I can jump and play and it stays still. She is a nut.

This morning while we were in the back yard I looked over and Sarah was lying next to Atticus and they were being so sweet. Atticus and Sarah are the best buddies ever. Atticus is practicing throwing a ball so it will be no time before they play fetch.

Atticus Bye Bye

Well Atticus is doing better last night was so nice he woke up 2 times and went right back to sleep. During the day Atticus still just wants to be held most of the time but I cant blame him. Yesterday Sasha had her mad science class after school and she learned all about insects. We had open house last night at Sashas school and she showed us around and we got to see her music room, art room and gym. Genesis is doing well he is enjoying all his classes and reading like crazy like always.

Atticus Dr

she Well this morning I emailed the Dr and did not hear anything. Nothing was helping with no relief in sight So about 4pm I called and the Dr they said to come in. Atticus is getting his 2 top teeth but his fever was higher than normal for teething 102. They drew blood and took a urine sample and gave Atticus a antibiotic shot and at 9pm he's already doing better. We just got a call from the Dr and the CBC was fine and the other tests will be back in 2 days. I like this Dr she does not just give antibioticswants to know what was going on she also calls you at night when she gets the test results back even if they are fine. Tonight should be more restful for us all. He still has a feaver but its not as high. What a bad time to get sick while teething poor guy cant get a break. Will keep you updated. We go in at 10:20 for a follow up.

Atticus Teething

Poor Atticus is having such a hard time with teething. Last night was the hardest night we have had with Atticus sense he was born. He cried all night in pain and when he would fall asleep he would wake within half a hour to a hour again screaming. Nothing helps not even orajel tylenol or teething tablets we even had to to wet washcloths on him to keep him cool. Daddy has been such a big helper. Atticus does not like the cold teething rings and I even tried a frozen french fry. He does not want anything in his mouth. These teeth need to hurry! Our brave little guy needs a break.

Paws in the Park

What I did not add for yesterday was what Sasha got to do. Aunt Melynda came down and picked her us and both Melynda and Jill took Sasha to the Chiwawa movie. She had a blast fell a sleep on the way home.
Yesterday I was looking at events in Austin. Well I found the Paws in the park up in Cedar Park. At first I was going to take the kids and give daddy the day to himself but with Atticus having such and hard time it was better that Daddy came with us. Sasha got to play on the bounce house and Genesis helped with the training and micro chip. Melynda and Todd met us and that was so much fun. Melynda looks so sweet with her tummy. Melynda bought Sasha a booka dn a fairy and she sat and read it all the way home to her doll. Sarah had a blast she was worn out she really liked being around all the dogs. I have found a bunch of events that all of the family can enjoy including Sarah.
Atticus seems to be doing much better than last night. We will see how it goes I feel so sorry for him. Oh and we are almost ready for Halloween. We will put photos on when we are done..

Atticus feaver

Last night was hard. Atticus had a fever all night and did not sleep well. He is doing better this morning. His top tooth is still coming down and his nose is running and its just not fun. I put some baby orajel on it to see if that would help him and he passed out. The tylenol alone was not helping. Atticus is a trooper :)

Genesis and Atticus

Buda Fire Fest 2008 Sat

Today was a fun day for the family. We went to the Buda Fire fest. Its all about fire fighters and and they have a chili cook off. Sasha got to partisipate in a kids firefighters relay that was just like the real fire fighters were doing. Genesis had fun and he played with his sister at the park. Atticus had fun he enjoys watching all the people. What he loved most was the smoked chicken.

New tooth

Genesis had a appointment this morning and Attucus was grumpy again the last few nights so I checked his mouth. One upper tooth is coming in I said several months ago that he was getting his upper front teeth but they never started poking through.They were just not wanting to come. Poor kid he one comes in and then a new one.

Oh and last night Sarah got in the bathroom with Sasha and decided to join in. Sasha got a kick out of the visitor.
