Science Camp

Sasha had her first day of science camp. Its one day a week for 6 weeks and every week they learn something new. This week was movie effects. Sounds like she had fun but to our surprise her friend Samantha was also in the camp. Atticus is building his courage to walk alone. He is starting to walk for a long distance only holding one hand for support.

You might wonder why a photo of our freezer and a fairy! Well she has been in our freezer for a few months now and I moved her out and Sasha insisted she belonged in their. I never get a reason why and I wish I could find out. We have had a pienguin in the fridge for a year now. When we moved he was taken out and Sasha found him and put him back in.
I am sure if it ever gets to bad we will have to set a limit but its funny at this point.

Sunday fun

Well not much going on today. Aunt Jill took Sasha for the day and they were going to see a Imax movie. Genesis has been working on his room and I am trying to do the last bit on the bathroom floor by the door. Luke is outside cleaning the bike it has to be spotless!

Friday Lunch with Sasha

Fridays Atticus and I bring lunch to Sasha. She loves Subway and this past Friday we got chocolate chip cookies. Atticus had a part of one and what was I thinking! He was a mess and he had to be cleaned 3 times to get it all off.

Day at the Zoo

When I was talking to Genesis about the engineering day he mentioned the zoo. Its still nice out but not to hot and we can always go to the engineering day when we cant do outdoor activities. So we went to the Austin zoo. Atticus LOVED the monkeys, and while with the deer he was trying to eat rocks. He puts anything in his mouth! I think he wanted to play with them. The deer were a big hit as were the loins. We rode the train and by the end of the day everyone was tired. Sasha and Atticus slept on the way home. Genesis read. Now we get to relax this weekend.

What to do this weekend

Well I found the Austin Children's Museum has a engineering Saturday this Saturday is Wheeled Vehicles with Mechanical Engineering. Or Sunday is Society of Women Engineers and hands on projects. Thonight they have stargazing and Astronomy tours in Westlake at 8 but its a drive and late and just might not work. We need to get back into going places on the weekends. Atticus is old enough that he would have fun.

This morning " I want a pony"

This morning Sasha started pouting because she wanted something and I told her she could not have it. I asked he do you think if I pouted and said I wanted a pony I would get it? Sasha smiled and went to her room and came back with something behind her back. She smiled again and handed me my very own My little Pony.

What a week

Seems like everything has been happening. Tuesday Genesis found out his scout troop will be going to a archaeological dig. Sasha has been doing great at school she loves music class and its adorable all the songs she is singing for us. I will get one on video for everyone today when she comes home. Luke and Genesis are going to go to see Neal Stephenson the author tonight so it will be girls night plus baby Atticus. Watering the yard has become hard latley. Atticus crawls over and has to have the hose to play so I just make sure he sits in the stop that needs to be watered so in a way he is helping.

Busy Day running around

Well today was a crazy day. Genesis had 3 appointments. The first was at 8am then the second at 11 and the last at 2pm. All in different towns to add to the chaos. Grandma and Granddad were still here and offered to watch Atticus when we were running around. Wow I do with I would do that more often! Genesis and I were able to take care of the Austin appointment and Atticus had a blast playing. Thanks again for your help and next time I will take you up on the offer to help out.
I think Sasha is having growing pains she is saying her legs hurt her almost daily. She is tired from her long days at school. Tonight she took her bath went in her room and passed out.
When grandma and grandpa were leaving Atticus took the water hose that was on and started playing. He is a water boy well if it has to do with being outdoors he loves it.

Luke home!!

Well Luke got back Friday night and everyone was happy to see him. Sasha spent the night with Jill, Jason and Grand mom and Dad. Lukes Mom and Dad were so sweet and picked him up so I got out of airport duty. Saturday morning Genesis left for his overnight camp and he had a blast! Luke and I went to home Depot and they had trees for half off and we have baby trees in our yard we got 2 for the back and a red large crape myrtle for the front. Little Atticus enjoyed the ride back with all the trees in the van. Luke said he looked like he wondered what what going on. Saturday night we went over to Jill and Jasons for dinner. Sherri made a great meal that everyone loved. Sasha was not feeling well so we came home and made hot fudge sundays and watched a movie. Sunday was a day of work I planted trees and Luke worked on the floor. Sasha and Attiucs played outside with me most of the day. Its sweet if you open the door to go outside Atticus is on his way. He loves his sandbox and little pool. No photos today we were just busy and I never grabbed the camera.

Daddy Home!!!!!

No sleep

Well Atticus woke up at 3am and did not go back to sleep till about 5:30am so I am exhausted. The other day Atticus was given the OK to have eggs the other day so this morning he had his first scrambled eggs and he loved them. Yesterday morning a while Atticus and I were coming home from dropping Sasha off at school we saw a little white chiwawa was running around. This morning it was out again so we trapped it and called animal control and they came and got it. Guess they are having a huge problem with people abandoning their pets right now.
Atticus fell asleep and I and going to nap with him.

Fun Day

Genesis had a appointment and Atticus and I took Sarah to the dog park in San Marcos while we waited. When we got home Atticus played in the sand and was cute as always. Grand Dad Mike and Grandma Sherri came over after Sasha came home from school. Grandma took Sasha to Gymnastics and I hear she did a great job. While Grand Dad and I were with Atticus he stood up let go of me and took a little step. He then wanted to be held. Our big guy will be walking soon at this point its just he needs to build up his confidence. At bedtime Sasha had a meltdown. Its been 3 nights without Daddy and that was all she could take. We called and Daddy told her that he would be home the next day to read her a story. I read Sasha a story then she was out cold. We all miss Daddy when hes gone.
Genesis got his game today, the one he saved his allowance for and he loves it. Thanks grand dad Mike for helping with the install!

Sasha Asleep

When I was putting Atticus down Genesis and Sasha were watching a show and having their snack before bed. I come out and Sasha is sound asleep with the blanket over her so I leave her with the thought that she will come to bed when she wakes up. Well I just went and checked on her and she is now on the floor sound asleep.

Busy Fun Day

Ok this morning Atticus and I brought Sarah to the vet for her yearly shots. We then got the sandbox from the neighbor and went to home depot and got sand. Mike and Sherri came over when Sasha got home from school and played with Atticus and Sasha. Genesis was a great helper and took Sarah for a walk when I was making dinner. He has been reading about taking care of dogs and is working on heal. Looks like he will start being a library aid again this year.
At dinner it was just to sweet Sasha started singing the song I am proud to be a American. I asked if they were learning it in music class and she said yes. So after her bath I found the song on youtube and it was a tribute to our soldiers. While she was watching it and singing along she looked over at me and said I like these guys referring to the soldiers. I told her that they help protect us and our freedoms. She proudly said my uncle Adam is one of them and I said yes he is. It was just to sweet.
Now on a funny note- Sasha informed me that people with dark skin need to stay out of the sun they would turn yellow again with less sun. We talked about the colors of peoples skin and how we are born with the shade we have. Sasha is so fun to talk to I love hearing her prospective on the world.
Atticus did not take his afternoon nap and its 7:30 and hes asleep. I am hoping he will not be up at 4am ready to play.

Atticus Check up

Atticus had his 9 month check up today and his flu shot. He is 22.9 lbs and 29 1/4 inches. As you guessed he is healthy and happy and he will be seen again at 1 year. Atticus has started fighting sleep so nap time can be fun. Genesis has scouts tonight so we will just relax today. Sasha will work on her homework thats due friday. She is such a big girl now.

Luke Gone

Ok Luke went away again for the week. He will be home Friday night. Sherri and Mike are here in Austin and they came by and played with Atticus and Sherri had lunch with Sasha at school. Melynda and Todd came by this evening before they went to Jills's. Sasha rode her bike with her friend Madori. She was in bed by 8:30pm so she will be ready for a new day at school. She was complaining of her throat hurting at bedtime so I hope she is not getting sick. Ms. Grant was worried she might get sick with something going around and Sasha always putting things in her mouth. Looks like they are going to try to get Genesis into AP English and thats always good news. Oh and Atticus tried climbing the ladder in the back attached to the fort. He started up and I held on to him on his journey. At one point if I were not holding on to him would he of fell. He is going to have to be watched like a hawk.

Well it was so nice today we decided to go to schlitterbahn water park. It was so much fun Genesis, Sasha and Atticus had a blast. Not crowded at all! Atticus loved the wave pool river.

Getting started

Ok so I am going to see how I do with this. I can be so bad as keeping records and updating people so here we go. So 2 days ago Sasha got her sewing machine and she loves it we already made a dress for her life sized barbie. This morning I checked Atticus mouth and he has a new tooth peeking through. We will no longer be able to call him snaggle tooth. Yesterday Luke took Sasha and Genesis to see Hellboy and Get Smart. Sasha did not like get smart but was happy with Hellboy. Atticus and I stayed at home and did yard work.
