Atticus is Back

Well Atticus is back after being gone almost a week in Houston. Wow did we miss him but he was saved from being sick like the rest of us. Today Granddad Lathrop took Genesis fishing and he cought a rainbow trout. I hear it was a nice place to go a pond a park lots to do we may all have to go back. Sasha went shopping with Grandma and Jill she loves spending time with them. They do all the girlie things. Atticus, Lincoln and I went to the park came home and they took a nap.
Then my dad made in from Montana. He brought ice cream that looks so good and apples and more great bread. It was so nice that he could make it down to see us. We are sad my Mom could not make it but we will see her in March for spring break.

Taking a break before I cry. Last week having problems getting photos off Luke got them off but we lost all the video. This is a bad month for getting photos to everyone.

Sasha ans Atticus Birthday

December the 14th our middle children's birthday!
We did not do much at all. Sasha brought cupcakes to school to share with the class. I asked the what they wanted for dinner and they wanted happy meals. We had cupcakes instead of cake.
Sasha got a Liv doll from us and Atticus a play tent and tunnel. My sister sent cards and giftcards as did my mom. They were so excited we will go shopping after Christmas to let them pick out something.
We also have a double stroller as of the 14th. Found one on Craigslist for 30.00 this made my day and walks to the park will be so much easier now.
Sorry about no photos. I am getting a error message every time I try taking them off. I always remember when Luke is gone.

Sasha also had her Girl scout Christmas party last night. They exchanged books and ate. This Friday Genesis has his Scout Christmas party. They go to REI to look at camping stuff then off to their pizza party.

Buda Parade

Saturday was the Buda Christmas parade. Sasha's girl scout troop rode down main street. It was adorable and she had so much fun.

Friday Skate Night

Sasha wanted skates for Christmas and so Friday night we all went over to a roller rink. Jill was so sweet to take us and help out with the kids. Sasha and Atticus loved skating. Our backs were sore from helping them skate. Genesis thought roller skating was a lot harder than he thought it would be.
Now the roller rink was fun but their was only one other white person besides us skating.
The first song they played after we sat to put on out skates was James Brown, Play that funky music white boy.
That was funny!
Oh and my camera would not work trying to get a few off my phone.

Lincoln Update

Our little Lincoln has gotten so big. He is still just as sweet and perfect. Hes sitting all by himself now as of last week. Today while feeling him he just opened him mouth and kept the food in. I think Lincoln has realized that food is not so bad after all. He loves just being able to be involved in everything thats going on. He does not want to miss a thing. Its hard when we are out he does not want to eat he just wants to look around.

Evie's First Birthday

Saturday was Evie's first birthday party. I have to say Atticus had so much fun with all the kids. Sasha had some kids her age to play with also. Its fun to have the kids around so many other kids their age.
Evie looked so cute in her custom made dress with her birth date on it.
Wow does time fly, out Atticus is almost 2, Sasha 7, Lincoln will be 6 months soon. The scariest of them all Genesis is almost 15!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun.
Grandma and Granddad Lathrop were their with Mikes sister and Jason and Jill and little Evie and Adom. Dinner was good as always.
Lincoln seemed to really enjoy himself as did Atticus.
Luke was having a blast playing with little Evie. Genesis and Sasha kept busy like always.

Sorry MOM

Well it is official I am the worst daughter in the world. Yesterday was my moms Birthday and I did not call. Its not like it has been the first time in my life that I have forgotten, honestly its almost every year. What makes it so bad is my sister sent me a text at around 5pm to remind me to call. Tuesdays are scout days for Sasha and Genesis and I got busy and forgot. So sorry mom hope the late Happy Birthday was Ok?
The worst thing is Jill managed to send a happy Birthday to my Mom.
Luke said I need to put in on my calender not sure if that would help.

And Dad sorry about forgetting your Birthday most every year also.
Everyone in Lukes family I try to remember not like Luke is any better. Good thing two of our kids birthdays are the same.

Lincoln 4 months

Friday the 14th Lincoln had his 4 month check. He is 13lbs 13oz ,25in and perfect . We were given the all clear to start cereal ans apple puree etc. She wants him to be on stage 2 foods by 6 months. Lincoln is still such a great baby. Last night he went to bed at 8:30pm woke at almost 11pm and slept till 6am not bad for our kids.
Update on other things in our life:
Thursday was the Thanksgiving lunch at Sasha's school. We had a lot of fun, Atticus was so good and I even got complements from a few parents on his behavior :) Food was involved and other kids go figure he was good.
Friday Jill had off work and surprised Sasha at school. Sasha loved that aunt Jill came and I hear Jill stood up to the kids defending that Santa was real. Go Jill and Santa! ,
Genesis has been busy with scouts and school. Hes in the science, cooking and chess club.
Our washer is broke so as a family of 6 its not a good thing at all. So until Saturday when Luke can take a look we are going to have fun. As everyone know we use the cloth diapers so this morning had to go get some huggies. Then I realized we need throw away wipes also. So now we are set till the weekend.

We will be selling girl scout cookies in January so get ready to buy a lot. Sasha's goal is 100 boxes. Daddy is going to have to bring a bunch to work to sell to hungry IT guys!

Lincoln is so BIG

The other night I found Atticus hiding behind the curtain. When he pulled it back their was Atticus with the dog food bowl. The worst part it was right after dinner. Is my food that bad :)


Luke suggested we get out the bouncing toy Atticus loved so much. So we putt Lincoln in it and he loved it. I guess it has been hard for me to see him getting bigger he will always be my baby. Yes I can not find a stop growing button so here we go. Hes a big boy!

Saturday night we made Carmel apples and they were a hit. Everyone loved them we will do it again its fun to do things like this on the weekend.

Halloween

Ok the photo of Atticus bottom was to cute not to share. He had fallen asleep hanging over the sofa.




Halloween was so much fun for everyone. We were a little afraid that someone would still be sick that plans almost fell through. Melynda and Evie were going to hang out but they came by early to say Hi and play for a little while. Grandma and Granddad Lathrop, Jill and Jason and Kat, Midori and Jade from across the street came over to have out Halloween pumpkin pizza. Sasha was a devil fairy, Atticus was a biker zombie and Lincoln was our pumpkin. Genesis was our candy helper a very important job to have.
Halloween is always such a fun time of year. For some reason its just so care free and everyone has fun.

Atticus and Lincoln sick

Well Atticus is getting over being sick. Lincoln has been sick as of last night. He just wants be heald. Before Lincoln got sick he slept all night in his own bed from 8pm to5am. Hope he goes back to that after being sick.

Sasha Sick

Sasha has been sick with the flu. The sad thing is she got the flu mist on Thursday and Friday she was sick. At this point Lincoln seems to be in the clear and not showing signs of being sick.
On Friday night after Sasha went to bed I heard her crying. So I went in to see what was going on.. I asked her and she said she had lost her imagination. She was just crying with her high fever she was a little out of it but it was so cute.

Getting ready for Halloween

This Halloween will be the first one that I have not made a costume. How strange it feels to not be busy sewing, in a way its nice but still sad. Sasha's school is allowing them to dress up as a character from a book on Friday the 30th. Sasha chose the girl from pinkalicious so I found a adorable pink dress on ebay and I asked her teacher if we could tint her hair pink. This is going to be so much fun and thats not even her Halloween costume.
We have been so busy with appointments and other stuff.
Lincoln is such a doll and hes getting huge. He grabs and plays with toys. He has a smile that goes from ear to ear. He hardly cries and if he does you must of not of recognized his gestures first. He is so sweet , we are in love.
Atticus is still my little helper cleans his own spills and wipes his own face when asked. Hes still using the potty and our big guy. Hes talking so much and he our big little dude. Sasha is doing great in school and last weekend the girl scouts had a Mama's in pajamas sleepover. They had lots of activities for the girls Lincoln attended also. We did not stay over night though next year we will. She earned a pedal for her smock. Genesis had his Horniday camp and his dad came and attended with him. He worked on 4 badges he will doing great in scouts right now. Luke got his old laptop out for me to use in the living room so updating the blog will be much easier for me. I get so busy during the day with the little things that time just flies by.

Little to big overnight

Its been so hard for me to post things lately. When Lincolns sleeping is the best time but Atticus always wants to run in and wake his baby brother. Sasha is home from school with Genesis and they are all playing outside! Genesis got his Star rank last week and we are all so proud of him. His dad is coming Thursday to go to camp with him this weekend and he will be going home Tuesday. Genesis is so excited about the visit.
Sasha has been doing great in school she does need to work on focusing her attention but she is reading at her level.
Atticus is still our helpful little guy. He is always wanting to do his part to clean or pick up things or just play with his little brother.
Lincoln went from being a little guy to our big little guy who is so aware of everything. He is always kicking his legs and arms and talking.
We got photos with my dad before he went back to Montana. He is very proud of all his grandkids.
Luke took Sasha and Genesis out to see the movie 9 this weekend. Then Sunday Jill watched all the kids except Lincoln and we went to see Zombie Land and it was Great. They went to church then lunch then off to the book store. Its always a treat for them Atticus got to go this time and I think he was excited to be with the big kids.

My batteries are dead so I cant get the photos off so those will come later.
My Dad has been here visiting and running around. We dont see much of him hes always busy running around or fixing things around here for us. He put in a new breaker for the microwave and lights in the attic and a new sink. Plus he bought 2 cars and he drove one back yesterday and he will be flying back Monday to drive back the last one. It keeps him busy!
We got tons of huckleberry stuff from Montana and honey always fun.
Last Saturday we went to San Marcos to watch the HOG bike parade Atticus loved it. Then we went to Lockhart and had BBQ for lunch.

Update on Lincoln: he is getting so big and strong. Hes outgrown most of is 1-3 months clothes and has moved into the 3-6mo. Thats a huge step. He is still the sweetest baby in the world hardly cries and just looks around and talks and enjoys himself. Lincoln just watches Atticus playing and you can see that he cant wait to join him.
Atticus always helps with Lincoln he wipes his mouth puts a hat on him. Even when hes gong to sleep he asks about his baby brother.
Luke and I are so lucky to have our wonderful family.

Lincolns First flight

First I have to thank Granddad Mike for coming to watch Atticus and Sasha while I was in California. I was so impressed Monday night he made a roast for dinner. My dad arrived from Montana Monday and Lincoln and I got home around midnight.
Everyone who offered to help us and just hearing your kind words meant so much. I was very fortunate to be able to go to the service for my aunt Gail. They had it by the river and it was a reflection of her life and all she has done. My aunt Gail was a second mom to me when I was growing up.

We got to spend time with Sonja and Joe also. Everyone loved Lincoln but who could resist such a cutie. On the way to the airport I got to go to In n Out burgers oh how I wait for the day we have them in Texas!
